CIUDAD MUERTA

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts Nuevo Marrow

the glitziest place in the eighth underworld, this is where the fat cats connect and their ladies dance. a towering casino that watches over ciudad muerta like a hawk, this was the building that brought the once sophisticated city of the dead to it's knees. gold walls and bright lights bathe the outside walls; inside, it's dark, smoky but still glamorous. you've got to have a lot of skill to beat the top men and ladies here, and a wallet big enough to compensate for the loss.

No New Posts The Department of Death

this is where the grim reapers work their bony socks off to greet new souls and welcome their clients to the eighth underworld. a tall administrative building opposite Nuevo Marrow - looking depressingly drab in comparison - this multi-story building is the second tallest in the land of the dead, and attempts to be homely and welcoming for the recently-deceased.

No New Posts Globo Market

the impressive market place, slap-bang in the middle of ciudad muerta. renowned across the eighth underworld because of it's sheer size and products at hand - pastries, clothes, souvenirs and strangely, balloons. this is also where the famous day of the dead parade takes place - an event that attracts the deceased from everywhere.

what's there to do when you're dead? octavo cielo is a pleasent cafe/restaurant that's interested in your hunger pains and money. there's a small stage at the very end for local talent with wheezing lungs left, and the whole building is three-storey's high. the bottom floor is a cosy little cafe and snack bar, perfect for lunch meetings. second floor is predominately for fine food, popular with couples. the third floor is where the head chef and manager of octavo cielo live.

No New Posts Leman's Radio

the main radio station in the eighth underworld that you can listen to wherever and whenever, sometimes even when you don't want to. the blaring tunes are usually the best and most patriotic of the 1950s, and the famous radio broadcaster a slimy english-accented fat cat from Nuevo Marrow. word of advice bone children - don't listen to a word he says, it's bound to be poison.

No New Posts Castro Road

those bonies lucky enough to afforad a car don't have to travel through the ghoulish finite forest to reach cartilago; instead, they can safely cruise along this motorway to their destination. if you're a grim reaper, you can also enter the land of the living to pick up some newly deceased souls.

THE FINITE FOREST

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts Jointed Path

the finite forest, the most dangerous place in the land of the dead. okay, so maybe there's no risk of getting shot by the bigwigs down at Ciudad Muerta or the goons down at Cartilago, but there are far worse things deep within the forest - monsters of a vile nature. fortunately, the jointed path, a haphazard road leading to the cluster of withered trees isn't so dangerous. apparently.

No New Posts The Beating Heart

it's hard to describe this location - after all, it's the heart of the finite forest, an endless black abyss of decaying trunks and mummified leaves on the floor. there are no paths, no signs, no guides. there's just the ghoulish light of hidden eyes to light your way. be careful, we don't want you turning into another sack of bones.

No New Posts The Petrified Cave

the exit from the finite forest is, typically, the most dangerous place of the lot. the cave itself is constructed entirely out of human bones, and growling, snarling monstrosities guard the exit to cartilago; this place equals the end of the journey for many of those who were forced to pass through by foot.

CARTILAGO

No New Posts Rojo Diner

greeting the weary travellers emerging from the finite forest is the rojo diner in all it's cheap and tacky-tastic glory. swinging jazz tunes and plastic tables are the first step into Cartilago. though, you'll rarely see the same people twice once people move into the heart (bone?) of the harbour town, it's still a flourishing business. still, they could've improved the ketchup by now.

No New Posts Mandíbula Port

underneath all the smoky blacklit glass and unearthly green lights, Cartilago is still a harbour town at heart. this port is flourishing with huge metallic ships of every name under the sun - perhaps one would one day take your decaying bones away? often, you'll find the portmaster here, singing his lungs to the stars.

No New Posts The Cat Track

opposed to nuevo marrow, this is the first hub of gambling that ever existed in the eighth underworld; owned by a pretty famous fat cat himself, this is where his darling kittens are put to the test in evenings full of golden drinks and fluttering money notes. part of the stadium is host to the owner's penthouse, and his flourishing lounge open to anyone with enough moneys.

No New Posts The Ripped Casket

keep your voice down here, bone-daddy. this is the coolest club in Cartilago. half underground with blue glinting windows, the dark name matches the dark, cool atmosphere inside. the door is always kept slightly open to let the frigid draft wash through. the regulars here are those who appreciate fine poetry. a simple click of the fingers is all they'll show if they approve.

No New Posts Pala Harts

the new kid in town - this club isn't as half as impressive as the cat tracks, or even the ripped casket. still, pala harts is growing fast with it's selection of roulette tables and elegant bar; a piano player sits in the corner, playing classic tunes as the dead make themselves comfortable.

THE END OF THE WORLD

No New Posts Nieve Town

welcome to the end of the world bone cat! this is where souls travel to make their way to the next afterlife; a small village, wrapped in snow, buried under ice and frost. it's harsh, indeed, but the just rewards are, apparently, worth it. problem? no one's being allowed through the gate, so they have to end up living here. there isn't much, just a few shacks.

No New Posts The Gate

the end. finished. the whole game is over - or is it? what's this about souls not being allowed through to their final rest? a pair of huge, tall crimson red gates, guarded by a tall metal knight, who's denying everyone entrance. just exactly what's happening in the eighth underworld?
